Marketuganda.com is a brand of Media Flower Uganda Ltd, a privately owned company incorporated in Uganda and is run by its founders, David Gonahasa and Edwin Tumukunde. Media Flower focuses on Internet businesses and other IT related services to drive e-commerce and online usage among Ugandan companies. Marketuganda.com is the company’s first project and we plan to launch other online ventures in the near future. Among other services offered by Media Flower are: web consulting, online advertising, web design and hosting.
Mission
Internet has emerged as the number one source of information on today’s accelerating global Information Technology society. More and more businesses and organisations in Uganda are getting online everyday as a part of their strategy to access new markets and reach a universal audience. However, as the amount of information on the Internet is increasing tremendously, it is simultaneously becoming harder and harder to navigate and find the relevant information.
Our mission is to provide businesses and organisations with accurate and relevant information. To achieve this, we have built a unique and a one of its kind business directory that simplifies information search. Our goal is to become the number one online source of information in Uganda. Whether, it’s an investor looking for a business partner or a potential tourist searching for accommodation, Marketuganda.com shall be the number one choice. Our long-term goal is to make Marketuganda.com a meeting point for buyers, sellers and investors interested in Ugandan companies, their products and services.
Uniqueness
While many directories out there focus on quantity, we have decided to focus on quality, simplicity, and usability. A major difference with our directory compared to other directories is that we have incorporated company/organisation logos in the directory together with a brief description of the company. We believe that a company logo is its visual brand identity tool and will therefore increase brand awareness, which in return will attract more visitors. Additional, we have implemented the “Company Profile” service which enables companies to add on detailed company information, product and service description. We are currently carrying all types of web sites but our main focus will be on businesses. Moreover, the site is the perfect channel to reach a global audience.
